Our Historic Organ
The organ at St. Mary's, an integral part of worship, was originally built in 1885 and first used on August 20 of that year. It has gone through changes and additions, but is still considered to be the finest organ in Hillsboro. As with any instrument of this age, it is always on the "health watch" and maintenance and repair are performed as needed.

Work completed in 2020: Parts of the organ from 1930 had failed. The shutter motors (motors that close and open the shutters, allowing the organ to be loud or soft) were replaced. Additional work of leathering allowed the 3 ranks of unplayable pipes to be restored. And some tonal work was performed.
